Agriturismo
Valata Minusa in Modica is an ancient turrito site, located in the
eart of the Byzantine Ibleo upland. Originally it was a watchtower,
with the typical features of the Arab-Aragonese style. In the late
Middle Ages, up to the eighteenth century, it was a reference point
for farmers as a processing factory for olives that transform them in
well-qualified and strong oil, with specificity in taste. Even today,
there is an ancient olive oil mill, witnessing the intense oil
activity that characterized this property, which for generations
belonged to the Galfo family.
